Saab Participates At The Coastal Surveillance 2014 Conference In Singapore

Mattias Wågman, Regional Sales Manager Asia Pacific, presented Saab’s Modern Concept for Coastal Surveillance covering the topic of future trends towards modern and scalable systems using the absolute latest technologies to ensure stability, scalability and ease of use during Coastal Surveillance 2014 conference in Singapore from 12 to 13 November.

The event focused on Maritime Domain Awareness and attracts high ranking military representatives and decision makersfrom a number of countries. This year the theme was Enhancing Assets and Capabilities for Effective EEZ Protection, and the conference was visited by 210 persons from 22 different nations with 57% of the attendees from military. 

Saab was one of the lead sponsors of the conference and also participated with one of the larger stands at the exhibition.

“Maritime Surveillance is a very hot topic in Southeast Asia and if you look at the geography it is easy to understand why. In today’s society, secure trade and transport of goods is taken for granted but that is not always true.  For Saab it is important to be present at events like this in order to meet with decision makers in this area to discuss and promoteour solutions”, says Anders Dahl, Vice President and Head of Saab Singapore.
