SimTecT 2015 will be held in Adelaide from 17 to 21 August. Saab will be showing it's capability to support training delivery through the use of live and virtual simulation systems.
On show, for the first time in Australia, will be a low cost, medium fidelity remote weapon station gunnery trainer as well as Saab’s tactical engagement simulation system.

Saab will also participate in the Distributed Mission Training Precinct by integrating its live exercise control system with virtual simulation training systems.

The Conference SimTecT showcases the best modelling and simulation technologies, methodologies and research across Australasia. With a cross-disciplinary gathering of industries, users, developers, decision makers and researchers, SimTecT connects the simulation community to see and hear the latest national, and international developments. Celebrating its  20th anniversary, the conference highlights the industry’s significant growth across Australasia and its increasing interface with visualisation technologies, gamification, the user experience, data analytics, manufacturing, industrial design and the added potential these dimensions can unleash. The conference offers international keynote presentations, practical workshops, industry exhibitions and demonstrations, and robust panel discussions.

The Exhibition Saab Australia is one of the key defence technology organisations connecting to the Distribution Mission Training (DMT) Precinct – a shared, simulated environment hosted by Australian Defence Simulation and Training Centre. DMT brings simulations and simulators together in a distributed on-line, on-demand environment for cost effective, flexible training. Imagine the power of flying in a virtual aircraft from a Canberra facility to join a live Navy exercise for Combat Air Patrol. DMT offers access to these kinds of capabilities normally not inaccessible due to cost or availability. Saab will connect our Joint Fires Trainer — a targeting and mission trainer — to the DMT Precinct. Come and see the latest equipment we have to prepare the soldier for the battlefield. At Saab we know that the most realistic training, followed by immediate feedback and detailed evaluation is the best way to prepare for the real mission. We put the individual in the very centre of training operations and build the system from there.
