saab delivers cbrn to kuwait

Defence and security company Saab has recently delivered an advanced CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) detection system to a customer in Kuwait.

The delivered capability includes a CBRN Automatic Warning and Reporting (AWR) system, with units designed for mobile detection and surveillance and stationary detection units that will provide a complete chemical and radiological surveillance capability. The AWR system is a flexible, modular and future-proofed solution for the detection, identification, warning, monitoring and reporting of CBRN hazards. The system can be operated from fixed locations, carried by personnel or mounted on vehicles.

“Saab Australia welcomes the news that a new international customer has received delivery of Saab’s advanced CBRN defence capabilities. Saab is demonstrating that it is a global leader in CBRN integration and support and we are hopeful that the Australian Defence Force recognises this as the Land 2110 Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Defence project progresses through its evaluation process” says Dean Rosenfield, Managing Director of Saab Australia.

Saab Australia recently responded to the Commonwealth’s Land 2110 Phase 1B Request for Tender. The offer that Saab has put together for the Land 2110 program represents the most advanced integrated CBRN Defence system that has been offered anywhere in the world and will be integrated, delivered and supported in Australia.
