New Head of Saab North America

In January of 2015, Michael Andersson will become Head of MA North America when Saab's Market Area reorganization goes into effect. With plans to leverage their newly specified market focus, Michael and his team are ready to continue Saab's success in the United States and Canada.

"North America, and particularly the United States, has always been an extremely important market for Saab," said Andersson. "This remains true today – not only to generate order intake for the company, but also to maintain and build upon valuable industry partnerships with U.S. industry that will benefit Saab globally. Saab's presence in Washington D.C. also allows us to do our part in supporting the Swedish and U.S. bilateral relationship at the government level. Our focus on business growth in Canada is no less important."

Prior to his promotion, Michael Andersson was Deputy Head of MA Americas. In his more than 31 years with the company, he has held several senior management positions, including Deputy Head of BA Support and Services and President of Saab Aircraft AB.

"I am proud to continue my work in the North American market," he said. "We have a great team in place that has already achieved so much in this region. I anticipate many more successes to come in the future."
