Saab Defense and Security USA, the U.S. entity of global defense and security company Saab, has received an additional order from the U.S. Army for radio systems which are used in data communications for live training. The order has a total value of $20M USD.

The order comprises additional options of the Live Training Transformation Interim Range System (LT2-IRS). Development and production will take place in Sweden and the United States.

Under LT2-IRS, with the options, Saab is fielding communication network systems with more than 11,000 radios to enable soldiers to engage in instrumented force on force training at the Army home stations.

"This additional order is a further confirmation of our strong position a as a long-term training partner to the U.S. Armed Forces," says Lars Borgwing, President of Saab Defense and Security USA.
