    In October 2014, defence and security company Saab announced the conclusion of the contract with the Brazilian Federal Government for the development and production of 36 Gripen NG aircraft. The contract has now come into effect as all required conditions have been fulfilled. On 10 September, the order value of approximately SEK39.3 billion was booked by Saab as order intake. The Gripen NG aircraft was also recently presented in Colombia at the Rionegro Air Show, F-AIR, in July.

    Saab will have a strong presence at the 2015 LAAD International Defense and Security Exhibition with a full range of systems and solutions on show for air, land and sea. Saab’s Gripen fighter, selected by Brazil to meet its next-generation combat aircraft requirements, will be the centre of attention at LAAD. Alongside Gripen, Saab will demonstrate its expertise in airborne early warning, air defence, naval systems, command and control, multi-mission sensors, ground combat systems, training and simulation, electronic warfare and SIGINT.

    Saab will have a strong presence at the 2015 LAAD International Defense and Security Exhibition with a full range of systems and solutions on show for air, land and sea. AEL will provide the wide area display (WAD) and the head-up display (HUD), which will be integrated in the Gripen NG for Brazil as part of the F-X2 contract. The WAD and HUD development programme commenced in January 2015. Saab and AEL have also signed a contract for transfer of technology.
