For many years, Saab has been involved in Nobel Memorial Week in New Delhi where the Swedish Embassy arranges various seminars and cultural events focusing on Swedish technology and innovation, environment and culture. Inspired by this, and to increase cooperation between the two countries both commercially and culturally, the Indian Embassy in Sweden has opted to do something similar by organising a week involving various types of seminars and events in Stockholm, taking place on 22 – 28 April.
"This is a very ambitious event with a very strong content and list of speakers. During the week, Chairman of the Board Marcus Wallenberg will speak, along with a large variety of other well-known people from government as well as Swedish and Indian industry," says Ulf Rudebark, Head of Business Support at Market Area India.
The event will see delegations from India mixed with Indian companies already established in Sweden and Swedish companies established in India. It is an excellent opportunity to forge contacts and learn more about each other's countries and cultures, and to share experiences.
Lars-Olof Lindgren, Head of MA India, is taking part in the seminar titled "Technology & Services Focusing on ICT and Security" on 23 April.
"This is an important initiative for Sweden and India to further strengthen relationship and create a common understanding of our business cultures. The panel will be discussing how Swedish technology can be combined with India's expertise within this area. An area that is becoming increasingly relevant as more and more businesses in India require the transfer of technology and knowledge."
Meanwhile, there will be the opportunity to sample Indian food, dancing and Bollywood films at various locations in Stockholm.
"If you would like to know more about Indian business culture or simply want to go out one evening and try some genuine Indian food, this event is not to be missed," concludes Ulf Rudebark.
