Saab at Expodefensa 2015

November 30th to December 2nd, we will be participating in Expodefensa 2015, which will be held in Bogotá, Colombia, where we will present some of our solutions within military defense.

These solutions include:

  • Gripen, a fully NATO interoperable multi-role fighter that can perform air-to-air, air-to-surface and reconnaissance missions. It is equipped with the most modern sensors and mission systems, it is speedy and affordable, and is already in use by a variety of countries including Brazil
  • Erieye AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control), a monitoring system for vast airspace and maritime areas, that facilitates any type of combined operation, with the goal of strengthening territorial integrity and national security; and
  • RBS70 NG - MANPAD for Air Defense, a 24/7 portable defense system designed for combat in all types of climates, with little or no additional support, and with a range of up to 9km and 5km altitude.

 

We will also present Giraffe, Sea Giraffe AMB and other of our radars with leading-edge technologies; BAMSE, a land-based optimized anti-aerial missile that has a Giraffe radar systems to respond to whatever threat and is designed to operate independently or in coordination with a complete defense network; and IDAS & ESTL, a system that provides protection for airplanes in diverse threat scenarios, which is equipped with intelligent systems for defense against missiles that react rapidly to detect and counter approaching RF o IR missiles.
