Saab is a technological leader carrying out product development in close cooperation with suppliers and customers all over the world. We value a close, efficient and long-term relationship with our suppliers and customers and are proud of what we have achieved together over the past 80 years.
Saab annually buys products and services from over 5,500 suppliers. A large share of the purchases is from Sweden but the overwhelming majority of the suppliers are in Europe. Saab first tier suppliers are primarily in countries where there are national laws and internationally accepted principles and norms on human rights, labour, anti-corruption and the environment. The company therefore sees the biggest risks further down the supply chain and has therefore introduced a supplier code of conduct that flows the correct requirements down the supply chain. Saab primarily buys components and technologies associated with the company’s systems, and to a lesser extent various services. The buying is to the needs of existing or new programs and products.
