  • For mobile forces out in the battlefield, air situational awareness is critical. The threat can consist of rockets, mortar, unmanned aerial systems, missiles or asymmetric attacks from terrorist groups. Saab’s lightweight, compact Giraffe 1X can be handled by one single operator.

  • How can airborne platforms avoid attack in hostile environments? In order to avoid becoming a target, it is crucial to keep track of every type signal out there. Saab provides complete solutions allowing exceptional situational awareness to keep people and equipment safe.

  • From humble beginnings 60 years ago, Saab’s Barracuda camouflage systems have grown to form a comprehensive range of solutions for vehicles, facilities, and individuals.

  • Saab’s new airborne surveillance system GlobalEye can be put to use in a number of different ways within a society. It can be used in case of a natural disaster, a terror attack or, as this example illustrates, to discover and interrupt drug smugglers making their way into a country.

  • Defence and security company Saab has launched CoastControl, a comprehensive solution to make the work of coast guards around the world more efficient and more effective.

  • Defence and security company Saab has received an order for delivery of specially customised CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) sampling equipment and a certified transport packaging container to INTERPOL’s BioTerrorism Prevention Unit.

However, the probability of detection will be markedly increased by employing a maritime patrol aircraft, MPA. With speed, reach and persistence, combined with the latest on-board sensors, such platforms will always make life uncomfortable for even the most experienced of submarine captains.

  • In addition to a daily responsibility to maintain national sovereignty, navies all over the world are undertaking an ever-increasing number of international assignments. This places new demands on technology and the need to communicate.
